I love reading the Psalms and how effortlessly David pours out his praises and sorrows to God.
I so relate to the struggles of feeling alone and abandoned, and the need to be rescued, then in the next breath shouting for joy in knowing who my Savior and Redeemer is and that He is ever present.

- This summer Women’s Ministries is trying a radical, new experiment. We plan to GO DARK and BE LIGHT. What does that mean? No weekly campus gatherings as we focus on being a light in our community. We’ve got the ideas...our challenge to you is choosing one every week. In addition to being a light, join Shelly and read through the Bible in 90 days (schedule located at http://www.marinerschurch.org/women). Of course we can’t GO DARK and BE LIGHT without getting together to talk about it, right? That’s why we’re having a “Girls Night Out” on 7/17 & 8/21! Each night we’ll focus on a different topic...real issues, real dialogue, real fun. Be sure you invite your friends too!

* join or participate in a cause together
* donate used clothes
* progressive dinner or dessert on your

* host coffee/tea & dessert lunch
* summer book club
* volunteer at a homeless shelter
* go to mariners church’s summer saturday nights
* make dinner for a single mom
* babysit for single mom or family
* have coffee or time with an elderly neighbor
* have coffee or lunch with a co-worker you don’t know
* reach out to different people of faiths by attending their “church”
* brings kids together for a neighborhood play date
* bring neighborhood kids to mariners church VBS
* have a community garage sale and donate profits to a selected charity/organization
* host a potluck night
